How to unlock video to keep them from snapping left.
[Post New]
How do I unlock videos to keep them from snapping left. I want to work with several video clips on the master track. I would like to cut/paste/alternate segments of video. At this point I have found no way to insert video into an existing clip on the master track. If I cut or try to move a segment to the PIP - PD doesn't allow me to do that. I am not talking about "linking/unlinking all tracks" in the editing section of Preferences....I have already unchecked that to no avail.

The snap-to-left is the way PD works.
The top timeline must always be full of something.
You can place a color-board in the top timeline where you need to take up space(time), and below it, in any pip-track, place your image or video. I actually like the way snap-to-left works. Others do not. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

But how do you alternate clips that are 1 or 2 seconds long?
