Hi,
I have just got my PowerDirector 8 Ultra running properly, thanks to Support.
My silly question is in Creat disc module can you have a "Title" play before the menu plays on the disk?
I am just learning by doing kinda, my Camera is the 'Samsung Flash memory" camcorder. I just use it for videos of grandchildren and stuff.
I have assembled various videos in director that I have created 'Titles' for and produced to appropriate movies.
Now I am creating a new project and going straight to 'Create Disc' module and adding the produced projects to content.
I want a 'Title' to start then the DVD menu to show.
Does that make sense? Is that possible if so How to?

p.s. I have been creating my own graphics and utilizing to create my own, which I created at 1920X1080 at first but quality wasn't good, so I resolved the problem by producing the videos using 1440X1080 video size and the quality was very much improved.

You can have a "First Play Video".

It plays before the menu. However, first play only plays when you first insert the DVD in the player.

First play is what you see in commercial DVDs that show the copyright info, and you can not use any buttons on the remote until the first play ends.

1920x1080 is 16:9 Wide screen.
1440 x 1080 is 4:3 Full screen.

You choose your aspect ratio for the project file. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Hi Carl,
Thanks for the FAST reponse! So in Dorector8 Utlra I create a video with what I want as the first play and produced it to a folder, then when I go to create disk module select that video as first play?
Thanks for the quick response.

That is close.

You create your video that you want for your first play movie. It does not have to be a movie, it can be a still image or a color board with a title on it.

I would keep the first play short, maybe less than one minute.

Then Produce that video or title in the Produce module. If SD video, produce as mpeg2 HQ, if HD video produce as m2ts (AVCHD). You can produce to any folder you wish, I assume you will use that same video over and over.

In Create Disk module, you put that mpg or m2ts file in the first play text box, notice the buttons on the right, use one to add the video. One button is add, one button is remove.

Create your Disk as normal. When done you will have the first play then the menu.
