Greetings fellow video junkies!
Can anybody point me to a forum thread or tutorial that can help me achieve a multi PiP pan / zoom effect?
My goal is to have a section of video with basically the same clip playing a few times, but each PiP fades and grows smaller in size as it progresses.
I am using PD8 Ultra.
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Kevin -

I can't think of a tutorial that will show you how to do exactly what you want, but CP's one on keyframes & PiP Motion would be the best place to start http://www.youtube.com/user/PDtoots#p/u/10/4gPt7y6ipo0

In this example the clip starts off small - expands while it's playing - then shrinks back to its original size...

Motion could be added, as CP shows in his toot.

Cheers - Tony

That's not really the effect I'm looking for. I've experimented with all the motions, but not found what I would like. Basically, I would like to stay centered but go from full screen to point of oblivion. Imagine the incredible shrinking screen. LOL and from there I can add the same clip in another PiP as needed.

If I understand you right this should work:-

Clip in PiP track
Modify
Select motion tab
Select no motion (green cross)
At 1st keyframe , re-size to full screen
At last keyframe, re-size to nothing in the centre

PiP should shrink to centre over the time of the clip.

If you need to alter the "speed" of shrink then you may need to add a keyframe to control the vanishing point earlier or alternatively speed up the clip.

Cheers
