Hi,
Wasn't sure how to word the tile of this topic, and not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question.
I have produced a video in PD8 Deluxe. It is comprised of two productions of the m2ts extension.
The I have two programs capable of burn Blu Ray disks but on one of the options is PSP-mpg4 or something to that extent. My question is will this play on standard Blu ray players, and what is the difference when compiling the disk?

PD8 Deluxe does not have the ability to create Blu-ray disks.

Check the Read.me that was installed with PowerDirector.
PD8 Ultra does do Blu-ray, PD8 Deluxe does not.

Hi carl,
I guess you miss understood my enquiry, I realize that PD8 deluxe doesn't burn Blu Ray, but it does produce AVCHD (m2ts) files.
So I am trying to output these files using another program that does burn to Blu ray, but there is an option for PSP avchd, and HD AVc, (or some other format) what I was wondering what is the difference whether it is PSP or one of the other choices..is PSP output different?

James -

I'm not sure about your other software's requirements... but using one of the the BD profiles under MPEG-2 should work for you.

Does your PD8 Deluxe have these profiles?

Cheers - Tony

Hi Tony,
Yes it does I have been using (HD)Mpeg-2 1080i and HDV Mpeg-2,108i just to see the differences in rendering, I also have used H.264 AVC that saves to m2ts extension, I use Nero 10 to durn to Bluur ray 25GB disks, but it has a PSP XXX oprion for profile, and I was wondering if PSP profile is playable on standard Blu Ray playyers.
