Hi,
What format do text files have to be in to 'import' to a title page?
I have a text file listing the children at a birthday party I want to add to title intro? Like scrolling credits but not sure where to put this?

James,

I don't think there is a textfile import per se. I think you will have to copy the text in the desired file, then paste it into your title.

You'll need to insert a new title and paste or type the names. One of the motion paths is a vertical scroll for the the credits effect.

Hi,
I have gotten that far but I get the message that the text file is longer than the duration or something to that effect..but when i extend the duration I still get the message.
Does the text file have to be (have) line breaks after each name?
I hope you can follow what I am referring?

James,

For scrolling text (up) you will have to have each name on a seperate line in your title.

How many names are we talking about here? I have had some very long credits at the end of some productions and only have to adjust the duration to get the desired scrolling speed. Longer duration = slower scrolling speed. I have never run into the error you describe.

The last time I made a video with credits I think I used one of the title templates and modified it to my needs. It looked something like this:

Name of Person 1..........role 1
Name of Person 2..........role 2
Name of Person 3..........role 3

I just listed each person until the list was complete (it was a wedding video).

To get the length and speed right I just stretched length of the title in the title track. You can also play with the sliders within the title editor, but I normally do not mess with them. Q9300 2.5 GHz
