PD AVCHD output size estimation is wrong

Hi,

I am new to PD8 and just made a 1h movie with about 1000picts, 15 chapters and some video clips
Now is the AVCHD disk burning estimation about 9.5GB
This prevents PD8 from making a burn folder.

from previous test I know that the "real" output will be about 30% lower then estimated, and will fit on a 2 layer DVD

Is there a workaround?

Otherwise, great soft!

I agree with you we should be allowed to burn to folder any sized video we want. Having said that could you try the "Smart Fit" option which will automatically fit whatever you have to the disc. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

Thanks for the "smart fit" idea!

For the moment I reduced all the pictures to 2.5sec view time. This resulted in about 50min / 6GB file
The estimation was 8.5GB... So the "file" burning worked, simulating a 2 layer DVD
