Why Cant I use this video format? Help please.

Hello,

Well today I bought a new HP desktop, and it came with Cyberlink DVD suite Deluxe. It says it has cyberlink powerstarter 7.0

Anyway I had cyberlink powerdirector on my old labtop, it was verison 8. On that version I needed to use a specific video format in order to upload my videos onto youtube. The format was H.264 AVC, and it was the only sucuessful formati that I liked and used.

Well today when I tried using that format to save my video in, it was not availiable. All the other formats where. It said at one point I needed to upgrade, so I clicked to, but then it said "Server not available". After a reboot, the format wasnt even clickable.

So what I need to know, is do I need to upgrade my power director? Its version 8, the same verison on my labtop, yet this format is not available. On my labtop however I did not have this DVD suite deluxe, just the PD.

So please if you could, lead me somewhere of help,

Well it came with My HP computer, which had Cbyerlink DVD Suite Deluxe. The Powerdirector is Verison 8, and I believe since it came with the Deluxe verison, then it is not fully cabaple as the ULTRA verison?

I'll have to refer you to a guide and for you to work out what you're using and the reason why you cant use or have specific functions the full version has.

Hi Bobby,

I had the same thing as you. I bought an HP computer and it came with Cyberlink DVD suite deluxe. But unfortunately, it's the DVD suite that is deluxe, not power director... Power Director was not even deluxe as I remember, because it would not let me import AVCHD files... shame. I had to buy the upgraded version, I got PD8 Ultra, and I really don't regret my choice...

My guess is that you are in the same boat...
