I am using Win7 Ultimate 64bit, ATI 5750 graphic card and three Dell U2311H monitors. I google and search the forum for this error. It seems that PowerDVD can't even launch when any of my monitors is rotated and set to portrait mode. Has this bug ever been put in the issue list of the develop team? Will they push out a fix or something in the near future? Due to some limitation of my working enviroment, I have to set one monitor to portrait mode and I get tired of changing it back to landscape when using PowerDVD.

If that's the case, I am forced to choose WinDVD then. I have been a big PowerDVD fan though.

I have this same frustrating issue- the support from your staff has been terrible- they didnt even udnerstand the question.

Do you realise this issue was introduced in a recent patch- previous versions did NOT have this issue!! xx

Hey Cyberlink: You make a lot of money. You have settled into the luxury of having a monopoly on HD playback applications. But if you can't fix this trivial, common error, then you are incredibly incompetent. Evidently the problem has existed for years. You are pissing off your customers, and it will come back to bite you if you don't fix the problem now.

You are the only application in the known universe that has a hissy fit when just one of a PC's connected monitors is in portrait mode. Stop that.

Thanks Michael. Glad to know that you are aware of the issue. I just installed my first blu-ray drive, having lots of fun with it Will be glad when I don't have to switch off my additional monitors to play a disc. Maybe by now you have fixed it, and I just haven't updated my software yet?

I'm also affected by this.

I think it's a shameful indictment that this issue has been known about for so long ago with no resolution.

Hi Michael

Why not? It is over a year that this is known.

Quote: PowerDVD 9 Build 2320: Works as it should with any screen configuration I've tried as do all previous version of PowerDVD I have used over the past 4 years or so. 7,8,9...

PowerDVD 9 Build 2528 and now PowerDVD 10: Gives the error if one of the two displays in portrait mode.

This is a totally valid Windows configuration. CyberLink should have no issue with this.

Still not working in the latest update. (PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D build 2325) Kind of sad, I even told them the exact build that added the bug. I guess I should be glad that they are no longer asking me to reinstall or to run Windows at 1024x768 or that there is no bug. I still use PowerDVD7 as 10 removed 9 and 10 still does not support Windows.

Check out this thread:

Clearly Cyberlink even has a band of brothers fending off these criticisms.

It has been a "known problem" for over a year. It was also never a problem in previous versions.

An important measure of a company is, of course, how responsive they are to customers...

Paul;
I was actually part of the 101st Airborne Division, and it offends me for you to use that term, held in such high esteem, in a derogatory manner.

Get off this board, you are not welcome here.
