"Auto Select Most Prominent Object"

In the past, when I have used style effects, there was a button labelled "auto select most prominent object". Now, after I have dragged an effect onto the timeline, highlighted the timeline, and clicked on the "effects" button, there is none. I searched for a long time before I realized there was now an unlabelled button in its place (see photo)! When I click on this button, it performs the auto select as it should.

What has changed? Is this only happening to me? I'm using perpetual license version 21.0.3111.0. Is this a bug that needs to be reported?

Looks like an interface issue. I have PD365 and everything's fine there:

Maybe try reinstalling the 3111 patch.

Otherwise uninstall PD21 then reinstall it and verify that the missing text is there. Then apply the 3111 patch and see if anything changes. If it does, let CL tech support know.

I doubt your use in the past, it's a PD21 feature. The lack of text was already shown here in the perpetual version: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/119089.page#post_box_448622 and the fact that the PD365 version has been corrected somewhere along the many pushes.

No, a reinstall will not remedy nor will the 3111 patch.

That's really strange, because when I first tried PD21 (with 3111 patch), I wrote down on a piece of paper the steps that I used to isolate an object. I wrote "select 'auto select most prominent object' " as though I had seen it. I'm not sure how I would have known that wording otherwise. In any case, it is not there now but the button works, which is the most important thing. Thanks for your response.

You may be watched a Tutorial that was made with the PD21 subscription version, it would have those words, as does the online documentation.
