System specs: RTX 3080 Ti, 13660kf.

AV1 windows extention installed.

Windows 11 system video plays Films and TV application can use the gpu hardware decoding and play AV1. Verified working playback and gpu hardware decoding is visible at task manager.

PowerDVD 22 has black output altogether

The FHD Video has been downloaded from Youtube where playblack was also normal, and my hardware can also play it cause windows itself can play it

Hello,

Unfortunately, PowerDVD does not currently support the AV1 codec. You can double check this in the supported formats section of the help:

https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdvd/22/pc-mode/enu/03_01_01_supported_file_formats.html

Feel free to contact CyberLink and request this format be added in a future release:

I can't understand why powerdvd 22 can not play AV1 videos.VLC and others have been able to play them since 2018 or so i read on the web. Holding off buying any new versions till this is resolved. Actually quite happy using MPV Player which is free!
