I need a live scoreboard inset for hockey. Or just a generic countdown clock that can be overlayed on the video. One where once it is inserted into the timeline I can set the clock myself and it will count down as the video plays. I only need minutes and seconds.

Any ideas.

I set up a gopro and recorded the actual scoreboard for the last game but when i try to resize and insert it in the timeline it is so distorted it's unusable.

A can't believe no one has came up with a scorebord for sports yet?

Thx
Rob

Usually the second camera on the scoreboard is the best option. Resize without changing aspect shouldn't have distortion in the final rendered product.

The Fx "Time Stamp" if you have it can be adjusted to countdown from a given timecode.

There are a bunch of discussions on the forum about that exact topic. I suggest using a camera you can zoom in with for the scoreboard rather than a wide angle camera like a GoPro.

Here's what I did with a 2nd dedicated HD camera for my daughter's lacrosse games a few years back:

You'll also want to mask the unwanted parts out of the scoreboard camera then set the scale as needed to achieve the appropriate PinP size.
