Greetings, dear forum users! Submit your options!

Crashes SSD with Windows 10 & I lost ALL projects stock video files!!! yell

Please help me restore the work of the whole month! cry Unfortunately, I did not make a backup copy in the project pack!

The questions are:
1) How can I quickly find stock videos that were used in my project?
2) Are the file manipulation settings stored in separate files in the project folder (it is not on the C drive)?

There must be a way to search for them by file name(alias), it seems that this is the only way, since there are no other ideas. However, when entering the video file number in a stock video search engine, it does not find it!undecided

Can't I find the file by its name (set alias)? Or am I doing something wrong? example file alias "22861342_4K_01"

Please give your advice on how to proceed and restore the files as quickly as possible, as well as about their settings inside the project?

... to manually search for each file again - this is sheer nonsense and trash - my hands drop. big project! yell if the search does not work, I will be extremely disappointed in the cyberlink product. frown It seems that the files from the ssd cannot be restored, but I will try.

P.S. Ideally, an algorithm should be implemented that allows you to download stock files again, when the program does not find files when loading a project, it should offer "find on stock" in addition to the "browse" function.
Thanks for the help! With hope for the best, Andrew.

Hi,

I'm afraid you may be hitting a problem with no solution.

PDR downloads stock files to a pre-defined location.
That location is dependent on the stock library used - as far as I am aware, but happy to be proved wrong!

PDR hard codes file locations for project used media within the .pds file.
You can open the .pds file with a plain text editor, navigate to the appropriate section and find the file locations. They will look like this :

VIDEOOBJECT ID="0" SRC="C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\Cache Files 01\video\pdzcc1f391ff9c24a61423ad9c349eb5f7d" NAME="7271518_HD" LibPath="\......

This gives both the download file name/location and it's media library name.

However, I can find no way to use that information to search for, or select for, in the stock media download module.

Unless any other member has found a way to relate the file names/locations within PDR to the stock media search module, I'm afraid we can go no further.

I would recommend that you raise a support ticket and see if support can provide a route to a solution, but I think it's a long shot!

Please use the File>Rate Us and Submit Suggestions to submit your idea for a "Find in Stock" pathway directly to CL.

Cheers
