I'm using a digital converter to record old analogue video tapes onto my Windows 10 PC. When I go into the Capture window it recognises the input as a webcam and I can record both video and audio with no problems. The converter is listed in the settings as both the capture device and audio input.
The problem I have is that I can only hear the audio when playing back the recordings, there is no sound while viewing / recording the video input. I've been through all the preferences and settings I can find and checked that I'm not on mute but I can't resolve this.
I also have webcam and the same problem applies with that.
Can anybody confirm if I should be able to get live audio or maybe it's not possible?
Thanks.
