PowerDirector16: Sort media room by Capture Date or Date Taken

I have a large media room (400+photos and videos) and need to sort the photo's by the date the photo was captured or taken by the device. The only option is the Sort->By Date option but that sorts by the date it was created on my laptop, so the files are not sorted correctly.

Is there a plugin or another way to allow sort by capture or taken date?

PD17 forward added Created Date or by Modified Date. Only real option I know of for PD16 is the hassle of file name numbering to get order desired.
