Can't find Masks in PowerDirector 365

So I want to create a PIP of a video playing inside of a thought bubble. Unfortunately I'm having a heck of a time figuring out where to do this at. All the tutorials on youtube show it being right there in the PIP Editor (but it isn't there).

I had hoped that I could use a video overlay as a mask over a video in another track but that didn't work either.

Now when it is finished, this thought bubble will be saved as another video which will be chromakeyed as a PIP in the master video.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I've only been using PD for about a month now and some parts seem intuitive but this is not one of them.

It's changed a few times, and if you've watched any tutorials that have the Mask Designer as a tab in the PiP Designer, those videos are really old as they were made with a version like PD14.

By PD17, the mask tool had become its own separate designer which was accessible from the Designer button that would appear above the timeline when a clip was selected.

In PD365, you now have to select the timeline clip then click on the Edit button that will appear. You'll see a list showing Adjustment and Tools, and you'll see the Mask Designer about halfway down the Tools list.

Also, if you ever want to find where something is or how it works, just open the onlin help system by hitting the F1 key. You can than use the Index or Search tools to find the tool, effect or designer you're looking for.
