Is this doable?

I am wondering if you have any suggestions and or could help me.

I am an artist. I have 8 jpg images of paintings I have created and are copyrithed by me.

This is what I am looking to have created. A slideshow of my artwork to show on TVs that will be able to be on a usb flash drive.

The flash drive will insert in to the usb port of a tv and play.

Here are the parameters. 1. I would like the show to have 8 to 10 images.

2. Each image would show for 3 minutes, or 10 minutes or 20 minutes depending on which is selected.

So, this is how I envision it would work. Someone inserts the flash drive into the tv. After it is selected there is a slide, opening page, explaining how the program works. It will have three selections to choose from as I just stated. Selection would be done with the tv clicker. First selection would be to have each of the 8 images show for 3 minutes on a loop. Second selection would be to have each of the 8 images show for 10 minutes on a loop. Third selection would be to have each of the 8 images show for 10 minutes on a loop.

I would also like on the first landing page like to have a click to preview all the images by clicking through them one at a time. I want this set up so I can change out the images myself when I want to and I need to be able to copy the program when it is done. I am planning on selling my artwork to view in this manner. Is this something you can do? Thanks for your time.

I want to have more than just a powerpoint slideshow. I want this slideshow to be able to be shown on a tv with additional features. These features are, I want the tv clicker to activate different settings for the slideshow.

Thanks for any advice.

You want to let an USB-flash drive to behave like a DVD or Blu-ray disk when inserted into a (any?) TV. The behaviour being the ability for the user to select from options through some sort of menu.
As far as I know there are NO TVs that can do this. Many recent TV can play a wide range of media files from a USB flash drive, but the user always needs to select a folder in which the media files are stored. When selecting the media format, check your target TVs to see whether there is a format that is accepted by all.
So using the folder structure I think is the closest you can get to what it is you want.
When a USB drive is opened on the TV, in most cases the folder structure of that USB is displayed. The users selects a folder and or clicks on a media file withing the folder, to start the viewing.
I guess that you can name the folders like “3 minutes”, “10 minutes” …
Within the folders you may put a video file (that can be created with PD) that shows the images, for the given time.
Maybe there is an automated loop function available, to loop the video.
As far as I know this is the closed you can get.
Even PowerPoint files need to be converted into a media files that can be displayed on a TV. A video file is one of the output options from PowerPoint. (There are even options to influence the output quality).

Thanks for that reply I do think it points me in the right direction.

Seems like OP is happy with your information and it's given them direction. But just for clarity, I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to here, you can put the exact same menu structure on a USB stick and have the exact same menu functionality of a Blu-ray disc via the USB port on the player. PD has done this and many users have used this for years.

Indeed PD is able to create a DVD and Bluray disk with menu structure, to write directly on DVD / BR disk, or make an iso file and write the same in a folder structure. It is also possible to write (or copy) these onto a USB flash drive. But so far I am not aware of a TV-set which can process such a USB drive similar to (with menu and menu controls) a disk-player would. If there are options either through TV or via PD, I sure like to know.

Many options available, to learn, probably easiest to start off using all PD21 canned features by using AVCHD in “Create Disc” module and selecting "Memory Stick" as media from the drop down and having a compatible AVCHD TV or compatible AVCHD player device connected to TV for playback. AVCHD compatibility has been around since like ~2010. The created USB plays back perfectly with menus on my TV playback platforms.

A forum search can also show many other approaches and successes, like
"The project is displayed in all it's glory" https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/47069.page#post_box_244637
"BD content with menus on a usb drive works well." https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/63057.page#post_box_287311

Thanks very much Jeff! Again I have learned a lot.
It is clear that a USB stick is perfect to play videos on a TV. I also understand that one needs a TV playback platform, like a optical disk player, a Cam recorder, or a PC to navigate through the menu. So far I have not found any TVsets that can do this from the USB port directly?

Sounds like you're trying to stick me on a TV only detail. So many TV's on the market, I could never say which may or may not support with any certainty. My dad had a Sony All-In-One TV Desktop platform and it could play menu directly from the TV USB port.

However, I think most enthusiastic viewers these days have probably transitioned to some form of attached media playback device anyhow, typically much easier to reach than the USB on say a wall mounted TV of today. So as I had indicated prior, you must have a compatible AVCHD TV or compatible AVCHD player device connected to TV for menu navigation and playback. The menu will playback on a USB stick just like the BD disc though.

Thanks again Jeff, I agree and support what you say!
My reaction was on what I understood was the original question: insert the flash drive into the USB port of a TV and play, get an opening page, explanation, enable selections etc....
