How to move the selected image on the timeline, directly in the preview when it is (track 1) behind another one of the same size (track 2) (mask)
Clicking on the photo in the preview corresponding to (track 1) jumps to another one from (track 2)
Opening the photo in pip editor would be an answer, it turns out that the mask for track 2 doesn't show up so you can see how it's turning out.
I thought maybe I had to hold down a hotkey, but I couldn't find which one.
On the other hand, working with pip designer is extremely heavy, it took a long time for things to happen.
My PC is not a “Ferrari”, but neither is it a “bullock cart”.
I've been experimenting with other apps, even online, and things really flow quickly and smoothly. XEON-E5-2680 v4 / Mem. 16GB DDR4

Yes that's been a pain to do this ever since CL started letting you do things like edit text in the preview window.

One option is to disable the mask track (by clicking on the eye icon on track 2 at the left side of the timeline). The downside is that you can't see the mask.

Another option would be to crop the mask in the Mask Designer so that at least one side is smaller than the preview window. That way you can select the image on Track 1 and use the mouse or keyboard arrow keys to move it into the correct position. After that's done, you can restore the mask to its original size, if needed.

You really don't need to resize for a visible edge, you can just select the clip in track 1, the white corner dots and edge white dots will appear in the preview. Left mouse click a white dot but don't resize or anything, just click it. One then has the focus on the track 1 clip and you can use the keyboard arrows to move the placement in the preview window. You'll see the white frame move as this track 1 video/pic is in the back and the mask effect in the preview window will update.

Thanks for the support, optodata, JL_JL
I think this has worked in the past, putting the image behind the mask and previewing it.
I saw 2 ways to do this irrationally.
1 - Apply transparency, darken the photo on track1, the mask appears, on track2, (barely visible).
2 – Enlarge the photo of track 1 to be able to click on the border, which was beyond the mask.
After adjustments, go back to size.
Would it be a case to send this to support? XEON-E5-2680 v4 / Mem. 16GB DDR4
