Hello friends,

I'm really enjoying the mac version of PowerDirector on my IMac.

I noticed today that the PC Version comes with Boris FX and a load of other plug ins,

Is there any equvalent for the Mac version? Is the any plug in for smoothing skin?

Lastly, do any third party company's plugs at all work on the mac or only plugins by cyberlink?

Any information or direction would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Hello,

Currently there are no specific third party plugins for the Mac version of PowerDirector. I guess you'll have to look for skin smoothing plugins for use outside of PowerDirector, before bringing it in for editing.

Thank you.

Do you mind telling me if there are any plans to add this feature, or any 3rd party plug ins at all, to the Mac version?

Hello,

That is a question only CyberLink can answer, so best to contact them directly:

My experience is you do not buy Cyberlink plugins, you rent them.
Then when CyberLink ends the contract with the plug-in company all hell breaks loose and eventually after a few updates you lose the plug-in. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

One can avoid such problems that Barry mentioned. Go rent such software directly from Boris FX as they don’t sell them. Here is the link and the prices for a subscription: https://borisfx.com/products/bfxsuite?collection=boris-fx-suite&product=boris-fx-suite .

I did get a free standalone particle creator from them years ago by signing up for their newsletter.
