Casting a DVD to Roku

I just upgraded to Power DVD 22 Ultra, one reason being, so that I could cast DVD's to Roku. I was able to cast a video that is on my computer, but my DVD only gave me the option of converting it to a video on my computer, however, it is copy protected. Is there any way to do this or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
