animated gif suddenly started to turn grainy

Hi! I have been using photodirector to make animated gifs, and it's been working great. I take an mp4 and use the "video to photo" option then "create animated gif". It makes nice gifs. But recently it stopped working properly. The preview looks fine, but after I export as gif, it is always grainy (I save at a small size). The photos associated with the gifs are not grainy. Sometimes there will also be a frame in the gif that goes dark.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I am having similar results in my test, especially the dropped (black) frames. I suggest your report it to CyberLink Technical Support here. Send them your sample video and resulting GIF so they can test if possible:
