16:9 and 9:16

16:9 and 9:16

Hello Guys,

Beginner question for you all....

When shooting for instagram reels the required ratio is 9:16.

If my phone is shooting in 16:9 and I rotate it into vertical mode am I now shooting 9:16?....will things edit ok for 9:16?

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Yes, that should be 9:16 in the vertical mode.
