slicing a video

I have a video that is 7-1/2 hours long.

My question is there an automated way that i can slice this video into 3-5 minute segments so that I can upload them to social media?

I am using PowerDirector 365, and I'm not sure any of these suggestion work with PD 365.

All of them work in PD365, but there isn't any built-in tool for automatically cutting clips into specific durations. The free ffmpeg tool that I linked to in the first post does that.

The Pre-cut and Scene Detection tools are your built-in options, but the Pre-Cut isn't automatic and the Scene Detection is based on the video content, not time.
