I want to create a video and have the game audio from the PC and my voice from my mic on separate tracks so I can edit them as needed. How can I do this? I've already created one with game and voice in one track , but the game audio is too loud. I just bought the program yesterday and am just learning. Thx.

Hi,

How are you recording your video/audio?

The specs for PDR are here :
https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/specs_en_US.html
PDR can import .mkv files with multiple audio and WTV in H264 but cannot output any multiple audio formats, as far as I know.

Working with multiple audio channels is not straightforward and has changed since earlier versions.

My workaround, but others may have alternatives, is as follows for a 2 stream recording:

Record your multiple stream audio/video as an .mkv file.
Bring your .mkv file into the media library
Rt click>Extract audio will extract the audio in the 1st (default) stream as a wave file
Drag your mkv to the timeline
Rt click>Audio Languages>2nd audio stream - this gives the video and 2nd stream audio linked as a "normal" file.

Select the extracted 1st stream audio .wav file in the Media Library and drag to a timeline track

This will give the facility to edit either/both audio streams as you wish.

For 3+ audio streams, you can use 3+ timeline tracks, each with a copy of the .mkv clip but with each clip having a different audio stream selected. If 2nd+ clips are unlinked, delete the video stream for each clip and leave the audio streams for editing.

Sounds more complicated than it is in practise!

Cheers
