Splitting video file delays audio on new clip

When splitting a video file and filling the gap between clips, everytime when a new clip starts there is a audio delay, this only happens when splitting video files.

I did not unlink the video and audio. The clips are fine, this is an issue with powerdirector.

Hi,

Can you confirm exactly which version of PDR you are using?
https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97579.page#post_box_392512

Does this happen with every type of clip or only with certain clips - like phone clips, for example?

It might be useful to have more detail on clips that highlight the issue, you can use MediaInfo or MediaInfo online to get a more detailed analysis.

Hi,
Smartphone footage with highly variable frame rates has always been a weak point for PDR, which seems much happier with constant frame rate clips.

By way of testing, could you take a clip which normally shows the problem on splitting, run it through Handbrake or Shutter Encoder or similar converter to produce a constant frame rate version of the clip, and then see if that CFR clip shows the same issues?

There's quite a few posts on the forum about VFR clips, like this one for example

Worth a try??

Thanks this works, just wondering what the best settings are for handbrake to use in powerdirector.

I tried using preset 1080p/30 fast / mp4
video encoder h.264 / x264
frame rate fps 60
constant quality 22
constant frame rate
