I am shooting a video in 8:7 ratio (Go Pro 11). When I start Powerdirector, what aspect ratio do I import to work on video if I am planning to then export for Instragram (vertical and 9:16 according to Google search). Would I import to Powerdirector using the 9:16 option?

Don’t have the new GoPro11. You can attach a short 5-10 sec. 8:7 AR video for users here to test and recommend a setting. The 1:1 AR setting is close.

One way, since your ultimate goal in this case is a 9:16 frame, just import into a 9:16 timeline and move and adjust the source video in the preview window to fit the 9:16 frame as desired.

Crop/Pan/Zoom another option.
