Can't add KeyFrame in PiP

I'm trying to add keyframes to a video clip in PiP and as soon as I play the clip foward the KeyFrame icon goes grey and I can't add them. I'm able to do it right at the start, but that's it.

This was working fine, so not sure if I inadvertantly changed a setting? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Because you hit the pause button during playback. Drag the scrubber to the reference spot, then you can add a keyframe.

Great, thank you.

I was play/pause'ing because I want the zoom/position to coincide with a part of the narration. I mean I can do that, check the time, then slide it manually, but seems a bit daft to have to do that.

Cheers.

That's PD.

Your other option is to add a timeline marker while doing your play/pausing. You can then come back and click on the timeline markers and add a keyframe at the time location.
