Creating a Mask for Text

I am new to Power Director 365 and I watched a YouTube video on adding a mask to have text appear from behind an object but once I create and animate the text there is no option to select the text clip on the timeline for TOOLS, only designer. Is there another way to add a mask to my text?

Hi,

As there are a couple of ways to make text appear from behind an object, can you clarify exactly what you would like to achieve? An example or an annotated screen capture might help illustrate?

Cheers
