PD 21 stops when inserting or copying small project into existing project

Since installing PD 21 on my new computor I have suddenly encountered problems when inserting eg my intro project into the beginning of a new project. This happens despite the fact that I stored the Intro as Packed project Materials. I also tried copying the few edited shots, but every time PD stops. I have closed and restarted the computor, but the same problem occurs. I cannot continue editing my projects without being able to insert various intro or outro projects into a new project. Please advise. Ina

Hi,

Just for completness can you provide a DxDiag for your new system []https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97579.page#post_box_392510]

and your exact version of PDR21 [https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97579.page#post_box_3925 ]

Other than this issue does PDR work OK on the new system?

If so, you should make a simple new intro project using the sample files and see if that will import into a new project.

If that works OK, it would indicate that the problem is with the "old" intro/outro projects, not with PDR's core functionality on the new system.

So, a guess might be, that although you are using packed projects, there is something in the project that may be missing from the new sytem - a custom title for example, that might cause PDR to fall over.

What happens if you open an intro project normally - one would expect it to open and display as normal - but if it doesn't that would support the guess? In that case, then a careful analysis of the old intro project might identify the culprit?

Members may have alternative suggestions.

Cheers
