I've just bought Powerdirector 21 and tried to import some videos from work to cut down a bit. They all play fine in VLC but I cannot import them which makes me worried if Powerdirector is not up to the task.

See the attached error messages please.

Hi,

Couple of observations and questions.

Please specify which exact version of PDR21 you are using.

Have a check of this FAQ -
https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=27247

I cannot see an import format that appears to match your file specs, which seem to be H264, .mp4 but YUV 4:2:2 10bit.

You will note the * by the Apple ProRes and V210 4:2:2 formats which signifies "Optional feature in CyberLink PowerDirector." which is where your exact version might come in.

I'm sure some members may advise further, but in the meanwhile, I suggest you raise a support ticket and maybe get a definitive answer from CS.
