Hi,
I started using PowerDirector8 yesterday to archive my daughters wedding videos and my Grandchildren.
I have a few graphic programs at my disposal for creating backgrounds, objects etc. The problem I am having is deciphering how to incorporate them into the program.
I created an 'object' and saved in png format and inserted into a Chapters menu I designed but can't figure out how to get it to incorporate the chapter image?
Hope you can follow my explanation?
Also when I finish it saves the porject as a template...but I don't know where it is saved to?

Hi James -

I can explain a little of the answers you need.

When you create or modify a menu template in PD, you are actually creating another template. This includes background image, text formatting, layout, buttons & music. It's not until the final stage before burning a disc that you set the text for the DVD menu (ie. change the words to "My Daughter's Wedding").

Any custom menus you make are stored at C:\Users\UserName\Documents\CyberLink\Custom Menus. This means they're retained after you do any uninstallation & re-installation of PD.

That's a start anyway.

Cheers - Tony
