I usually find mine by searching for the specific sound that I need. It often leads me to other sounds that I archive for later. __________________________________

Hi Adriano -

I'm not sure whether you're specifically after loops or just background type music...

Here are some links worth exploring for loops. Depending on how your video will be "published", you may need to consider license agreements:

http://www.royaltyfreemusic.com/freemusic/free.html#loops

http://www.looperman.com/loops.php?type=&cid=4&gid=3&tempo=&ord=date&dir=ASC&Search=Search+For+Loops

NB. even though these are listed as loops, they do not always work as seamless loops without a little manipulation.

Cheers - Tony

The included "plug-in" of FREESOUND in PowerDirector is quite good for many types of sounds.
Also, in addition to Tony's suggestions...

http://simplythebest.net/sounds/MP3/sound_effects_MP3/index.html
http://www.soundsnap.com/browse
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/clipart/default.aspx - this last one is overlooked, do a search for "sounds".

Just be aware of licensing. Free does not always mean "copyright" free. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Hi Adriano

Beware Freeplay isn't really free. You need to read the terms and conditions and licence agreement. There's a long list of uses that need to be paid for.
There's not much free in this big wide world!

I think my answer was technically quite clear and concise to my glassed friend...

If you dont whant to use smartsound, and use your own music, there is a lot of place where you can download music from...P2P, Torrents, rip, free sites like those... etc. Thats all.

Nicholas -

I guess the point is that video, images, music, sound effects and all matters technical are all tied up in the mix that is video making.

The other point that members have been making is that when you're publishing videos you need to be mindful of copyright laws, which P2P & torrents typically AREN'T.

Hey guys - here's a funny thing. Barry - look at this. This morning I put a little video on YouTube with a SmartSound music bed. Have a look what YT told me about it.

Cheers - Tony

Oh, sorry, I thought you were looking for sounds, not music. I understand protecting copyrights, but YouTube gets a little crazy sometimes. There is a band from back home that has hit it big. They posted their own original videos on YouTube and YouTube deleted them for copyright infringement. __________________________________
