Use audio from audio track rather than from video inserted on the media track

I have an underlying audio track that plays during the various pictures and videos I've placed on the media track. But, the movie is playing the audio from the video I've inserted rather than the music I have on the audio track.

How do I mute the video clip that's on the media track.......and keep the music playing that I have below on the audio track?

I'm using PD 17.

Hello,

There are a couple ways to do this. The first is to deselect the checkbox next to the audio track the video is on to mute the entire track.

The other is to go to the Mix Room and manually adjust the volume of the audio:
