I run the following (because I'm poor) :-

XP MCE SP3
Athlone 64X2 4600+ 2.4GHz 3GB RAM, Radeon 4650 1Gb, SATA 1x 500GB 2x 320GB 1x80GB + 2 external USb drives, Advent X19W and HP W1907 19"monitors, Catalyst driver 10.3.

I have had intermittent and irritating 2nd monitor flickers and jerks for some time.

It has now been cured by removing ANY graphics memory overclocking, even though the ATi Overdrive setup auto-tuned to 540MHz. I can overclock the graphics processor to 700Mhz with no issues.

Cheers
Adrian

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. (see below)

Hi Adrian,

This is a known issue! I have the same problem! The only way I know around it is to re-lock ATi Overdrive!

Sorry I can't be of more help!

Cheers,

Andrew

I have nvidia card, and get good rendering performance using hardware rendering. Does overclocking the GPU really help alot with rendering speed? Just For Fun

Hi Adrian,

The new ATi drivers do not correct this issue. My ATi Overdrive has been re-locked, thanks to a video demo on YouTube!

Cheers,

Andrew
