Someone check something for me

Not sure where else to go, hoping someone can check something for me. Just want to make sure its not just me... I have a lab of 26 computers, and have powerdirector 8 installed on all the machines.. (yes legally, purchased all the copies).

I just installed the latest patch on computer #1, version 2508. Everytime I go to the help section and go to the "about cyberlink powerdirector" section, it acts funny after I close out. Nothing I click on does anything, it acts like theres a dialogue box somewhere that needs an answer before it will do anything. Can anyone else try this? All my other machines are version 2220 and they work fine. Needless to say no upgrade till I can get this snafu worked out.

Uncheck the "check for automatic updates" box in the "General" tab of preferences and I believe this will correct the issue.

That "funny" part is computer freezing, correct? Yes, you are not alone. We all experienced the same. If you let it be, PC will eventually unfreeze, in about 3min I think. There is a post about it somewhere on here.

JL's proposal is spot-on and will resolve the issue. Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted... but to weigh and consider.
