Error ' the disc is of unsupported format'

After following the "antivirus" trail & getting nowhere,

I looked at the possibility of the motherboard drivers being at fault/corrupt (my diagnosis came down to the Blu-ray player not being labeled by windows 7 correctly {identified as cdrom dive NOT Blu-ray}.

This is the detail of this particular motherboard: -

Manufacturer ECS
Model GeForce6100PM-M2
Version 7.0
Chipset Vendor NVIDIA
Chipset Model MCP61
Chipset Revision A3
Southbridge Vendor NVIDIA
Southbridge Model MCP61
Southbridge Revision A2
BIOS
Brand
American Megatrends Inc.
Version 080015
Date 04/29/2010

After a visit to the manufacturers web site & located the correct utilities/drivers.
I re-installed all chipset & storage drivers &
HEY PRESTO I have DVD9 running like a dream.
