I want to upload my video so that people can watch it with the "high quality" option. I've read many posts about HD and a few that are recent HQ instructions. But when I get to the producing stage there are so many Profile Quality options to upload my vid. (I chose "Windows Media Video 9 DVD Quality 1600 kbps, to test it out and the quality was very poor, no HQ option either) Which one would be right for HQ on youtube? Can you help?

(Also, a portion of my video has sound but when I uploaded it, the sync was completely off, would this have to do with Profile Quality?)

Is your original video HD (High Definition) or SD (Standard definition)

I think it might be standard, not completely sure...

I don't know about SD quality video but I found for my HD video the best format for Youtube is .wmv HD Standard quality 1280X720.

The default automatic youtube upload from inside PD is too low in quality.

Cheers

Okay, so the Profile Quality that I should try is ".wmv HD Standard quality 1280X720?" or should I upload from my youtube account?

To save yourself a lot of time and effort, produce a short video maybe 1 minute long to your hard-drive. Then manually upload the video from inside youtube.

You can try the .wmv HD standard quality but I don't know how that will go if you are using SD video because as far as I know SD video is 4:3 ratio and HD video is Widescreen 16:9 ratio from 1280X720 to 1920X1080.

Any way a test will soon tell you. I am sure someone else will comment here on the best quality for SD if that is what you are using.

Cheers
