That is one of the drawbacks to Powerdirector. You cannot open a pds ( project file) in an earlier version of Powerdirector. You can open PD 14 pds files in PD15, but if you save that PD14 pds in PD15, you are back in the same boat, PD 14 can no longer open the pds that as saved in PD15.

If you must open a PD15 pds in PD14, then you may be able to search all instances of Powerdirector 15 or the number 15.0 in the pds file and change to Powerdirector 14 or 14.0 The pds file is just a text file in XMS format.

She can with the images and videos recreate the same edits in PD14. It just means doing everything over again.

If you had a copy of PD14 you could then share the PDS files. You would have to use PD 14 to be able to share. Or she could purchase Powerdirector 15. The trial version of PD15 would open the pds file you shared. The Trial is free for 30 days. It is not a full Powerdirector. It has many limits.
