PowerDirector 14 crashing when opening projects

Hi there,

Hopefully someone can help me (without telling me to upgrade to version 15 ideally). I have tried to open several project files that worked fine previously but now result in a 'PowerDirector has stopped working' message and a crash to desktop. Some of my other pds files still open correctly however, so I don't understand why some of them have stopped working and others haven't. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling PD14 but that did not correct the problem. I have also tried to load the last autosaved files in AppData but that also resulted in a crash. This is most frustrating.

There was a Windows 10 update that has caused issues. Perhaps worth a look. W10 issue

I installed the update as you suggested and it worked! I can now open the project files. Thanks muchly!
