PD15 recognizes wrong FPS

I convert a lot of TV files to watch later. For some reason, PD15 thinks my 29.97fps MPG transport files are 23.976fps. I've created a custom produce profile to match the FPS which works fine, but oddly the finished file ends up 29.17fps variable avg. Just wish we had more control. my sister has an older TV that doesn't like variable frame rates and almost always displays with audio/video out of sync.

Yes, the files really are 29.97fps according all other software including Windows Explorer.

You are implying that the wtv captured file worked properly on PD13 but not in PD15. Could you record say a 5 to 10 sec. sample of say 1080/60i for users to check out.

Correct, some didn't , but I just realized what the issue was just recently.

These are NOT WTV! These are MPEG 2 transport files (MPG extension) copied directly from cable using HDHomeRun Prime tuner. All software I have including Windows Explorer recognize them as 1080i 8.085Mbps@ 29.97fps, Main@High: Audio 384Kbps, 48KHz, 6 channel AC3

Apparently, PD13 adn 15 randomly recognize these files as 23.976fps. I now check the file properies on the timeline before I produce the file to MP4 and choose my custom output profile so it produces corrrectly.
