How to modify soft wipe transition.

I like to keep my slideshows simple and I've got two 'go to' transitions (soft wipe and fade). With the wipe it really bugs me that I have to change the direction manually so I thought I'd add 4 copies to my favourites folder, one in each direction but it is apparently locked. Am I missing something?

p.s. - In PD13 each direction was available in it's own right so for me this is an unnecessary 'improvement' in PD14
