I recently upgraded my computer and in the process upgraded from PD12 to PD14. Is there a way I can transfer my custom titles etc to my new computer/version so I dont have to recreate them?

I appreciate the help.

I found the custom titles for PD 12 on my computer at:

C:\Users\Username.computername\Documents\CyberLink\PowerDirector\12.0\MyTitles

Note: I only have one custom title in PD12. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Thank you, I copied the folders and installed them in the same folder in PD14 and they work perfectly.

I posted a problem earlier about custom titles (64 of them) not showing up in PD13 on my desktop. I upgraded to PD14 on my desktop and they initially appeared.. and then disappeared again. The custom titles show up as they should on my laptop that is also on PD14, Windows 10 64bit.

On my desktop, I moved the 64 custom titles from the PD13 folder to the equivalent PD14 folder:

C:\users\john\documents\cyberlink\powerdirector\14\Mytitles

Even though they are there, they do not appear under custom titles when PD14 is opened.

If I create and save a title, then it appears as it should in the Mytitles folder.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled PD14

I am using Window 10 64bit

Any ideas would be appreciated. JohnT

JohnTS,

Titles are aspect ratio sensitive. If the title is 16:9 and you have 4:3 project aspect ratio selected, it will not show in custom titles.

Change your project aspect ratio to 16:9 those titles with show in custom titles.

Same is true for 4:3 titles.

Check both aspect ratios.

Thanks for the info... I think you hit upon the problem. what apparently solved the problem was opening up a project with a lot of titles. When I closed that project and opened a new project the titles were in the custom title directory. After that, whenever I started PD14, the titles were there.

I also noticed that if I open a new project it defaults to 16:9 and the custom titles are there. If I change the aspect ratio to 4:3 the custom titles disappear... Not sure that was my original problem but it seems ok now... JohnT
