I generally burn discs with video that has a 16x9 ratio. I now have a project that is 4x3 ratio and it is set that way in the edit area. However, in the create disc section all the menus are 16x9. How do I get 4x3 menus?

thanks,

HT

Thanks for your reply. I do Have the DVD set to burn 4x3 but the menus are still 16x9. See Screen shots.

I just realized that the menus that are 16x9 on the left and then converted to 4x3 when the actual menu is selected.

If you can explain a little more and maybe I can catch on as I'm missing the issue, both pics you show have 4:3 menu being displayed for the menu preview. Do you mean the template thumbnails on the left to pick a menu from remain 16:9? Do you mean the playback on a standalone DVD player is 16:9?

Yes I ment the templates on the left. I just burned the disc and everything is OK. Thanks for your help.

They do have 4x3 menus in the DZ. Download them if you need it. Preview those created like before 2008 and you'll see black bars on the left and right of the background picture on some of them. There will be no black bars when you use it on a 4x3 dvd. Black bars will be on the menu background picture on a 16x9 dvd.

Some of those menus will cause problems if used in PD13 but not with older versions of PD. Here is one example of a 4x3 menu: http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/76498 . To me, an excellent menu from an excellent designer. It will crash PD13. I modified it to work with PD13 on one of my projects.
