This is a repeat of that hoary old chestnut of constant rendering being caused by updated nVidia drivers. Cyberlink introduced patches for versions of PowerDirector from 10 upwards to cure the issue but it seems that every time nVidia issue an update Cyberlink has to play catch-up.
You've obviously cured your problem by applying the PD10 patch but there is a risk that another nVidia update may cause it to reappear. My advice would be to change your settings to ensure that your nVidia driver cannot be updated automatically in the background. That includes Windows Update which can, I believe, update the video driver. I have all my system update settings set to notify only. Whilst it may be mildly irritating to get multiple notifications I consider it's a small price to pay for a stable system.

Mike
