I used 64GB SD card I had no problem or issue with 4GB and created AVCHD 1920x1080/50P 10GB+ on the SD card

I slot the SD card into the SD slot of my Blu-ray Panasonic DMR-BWT735 and i was able to burn a Blu-ray disc direct with Panasonic and the Blu-ray disc created and i was able to view it fine in my Panasonic Blu-ray player but in this case did not create "menu" only the files and each file is 1920x1080/50P as original.

I attach herewith a pdf file showing details of the disc created by Panasonic player please look at it.

please advice.

thank you

The "Blu Ray Disk Association" controls the standards and and specifies the following "types":
- BDAV : Basic Blu Ray "Audio Video" but the official specification does not include Menus. This format tends to be used by BD Recorders like your Pana for recoding TV etc
- BDMV : "Std" Blu Ray "Movie" Disks (as purchased or created by PD etc), but the official specification does not include 1080/50 or 60p
- AVCHD (V1 and V2) : Used by Camcorders but the offical specification does not include recording to BD disks. Importantly, AVCHD V2 specifically support 1080/50 or 60p

Also - Each of the 3 have slightly different layouts of the disk structure and meta data files, but all use the same M2TS container for the actual Audio / Video Stream(s) (note: AVCHD on FAT formatted devices will use a 8.3 naming convention so clip --> cpi, mpls -> mpl, clpi -> cpi, bdmv -> bdm, and m2ts -> mts)

While it is expected that an upcoming revision to the BluRay BD spec will be out "soon" that will support both 4K and 1080/50 or 60p, many devices will already play them, especially if they are AVCHD V2 compatible.

Your Pana on the other hand seems to be playing hard to get. It can defiantly play 1080/50p as it can play AVCHD produced material at 50p... but only on a DVD or a SD Card, or as a BDAV (the screen shot you posts indicates that when the Pana copied your SD card to a BD it made a BDAV version of your AVCHD).

What we are trying to do is find what combination of settings the Pana will play that is:
- on a BD Disk
- at 1080/50p
- had Menus
- of any size

I'm starting to suspect your Pana is being too "clever" and checking all these combinations for what is "officially supported". It may be once the new spec is released they may put out a firmware update for your player.

One final check, did you try burning a BD disk using ImgBurn of the contents from your SD card and see if that would play?

Well I'm out of Ideas - seems the Pana is deliberately forcing you to either use

1080/50p & Menus (AVCHD Profile in PD)
- DVD for sub 8.5GB Projects, or
- SD Card for any size

1080/50p & No Menu (BDAV Profile in Pana)
- BD for any size (with the Pana burning a project from an SD Card)

It's worth revisiting when a new firmware comes out as apart from the above it looks like a good player.

Note: I don't think PD can create BDAV output, only BDMV and AVCHD.
