2706 patch release - no fix

Ok, I know the release notes don't say anything about
Win 8 / 8.1, but I had a tiny hope this patch would have fixes for the
problems of heavy delays, regarding "Modify"-window in particular.
No, not so.

I was thinking of making yet another screen capture, but see no point really.
The issues are the same as shown here: http://youtu.be/ykQDXk8mhOU
If anything; worse.

Black window(s) for seconds,
yet more seconds for the content to move,
scrubber not playing to the end/moving to start,
scrubber on timeline moves choppy,
resizing in any window means content jumps (really jumps!)

Since the issues have been described and are found not only on my system
- and CL R&D is working on it - as I have been told,
I guess waiting for fixes is still on.

Nina

Just something.

I agree, 1Nina. I've started a new thread if anyone is willing to test their system's response time for this issue.

I'm assuming that you'll have a long delay with this test, so please try it if you have time. If the window pops up on your system right away, then there are TWO separate Win8.1 slow-downs...

Hi Nina & optodata -

Here's a screen capture of my little laptop (not a patch on yours, Nina) in real time. The main specs are in the video opening. OS8.1 running PD12 build 2706.

Now - I'll go & check out your other thread, optodata.

Cheers - Tony

Hi Tony

Everything look nice and responsive in your video, and opening the modify window takes only a couple seconds. I don't see any noticeable delays, and all of the controls work smoothly and the changes show up right away on the preview screen. That's what I want!

I know you've described your screen recording setup on other threads. I'd like to get something like that set up here to show what my editing experience is like. It'll probably be much easier than trying to describe everything every time I post...
