I downloaded a 16:9 template for a 16:9 project from the directorzone website and it won't open, in fact none of the templates will open using Cyberlink PowerDirector 11.

When I try to open the DZ files which are located in My Pictures folder Cyberlink doesn't even see them.

The DZ files are little installers, it should not matter where you store, or open, them.
Download to a folder.
Double-click to install.
Check to see if the new template is in your library.
NOTE: If the aspect ratio of the download is for 16:9, it will only appear in PowerDirector whilst in 16:9 mode.
The same is true for 4:3.

Be sure you are looking in the correct library.
PIP will only appear in PIP.
Menus will only appear in MENUS.
Titles...TITLES
Particles...you know the rest.

Thanks Barry, I'm making a music compilation blu ray disc, about 40GB with about 160 different tracks.
As all the footage was shot in PAL 720x576 I will keep the disc mpeg2 720x576 I was wondering if you could recommend a good template for such a compilation.
I did a practice burn on a TDK 50GB blu ray disc and it came out fine, took 4 and a half hours to burn but the quality was good.
Finding a decent template seems to be the biggest problem which a disc containing so many chapters.

Hi nic6 -

You can have up to 14 chapters/titles per page in PD11. That sounds like what you need.

Here's a example http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/131969700

Perhaps you'd prefer a menu with no motion thumbnails?

Cheers - Tony
