Hi,
I read good things about Powerdirector and my friend have it, so I experienced a little bit with it. I wanted to make a video and add slides like in power point and add arrows with message boxes at the relavnt video time. I failed to do that, but with the free version of Active presenter it was very easy. The problem is, I want to use powerdirector because it has good video editing tools as I far as I read, but arrow and message box annotation like in ActivePresenter is what I want Powerdirector to have. I am not sure if PowerDirector has this ability, so my question is, how do I do a box with arrow pointing to it easily ?

Attach is an example

Some arrows talk bubbles and such are already in your PIP room. You can also go to Directorzone for all sorts of "talk bubbles" , boxes, and some arrows, or make your own in a graphics program. You can also do a Google search for various elements for your production.
Choose, place in a timeline, and make it big enough to type into. Once you gather your graphic elements ( I call it foraging for nuts n' berries), the rest is easy, and you can use them over and over and over.
Do you know how to make a PIP object with a transparent background? It is an essential but easy skill to help be a good creative director!

Hello,

Thanks for the file with the arrows in it.

Is there a dedicated section with links to resources such as graphics, music and stock video?

There are several resources for all kinds of free stuff on the internet.
You can always check Director Zone for free stuff.

Barry Gill (Barrythecrab) has a lot of links on his web site. Click on Cool Links.

Also, for clear, concise PowerDirector tutorials, don't forget PDTOOTS, I need to make them more prominent on my site.

Also some lessons on making your own graphics.
