in this section I will present some tweaks, tips and tricks for power-users.

Command Line Arguments


Local File Playback:
For Video, Photo, Music files, provide the file fullpath as the first argument of PowerDVD
PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe <filename>
The filename has to be quoted if the path contains space character.
Examples:
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe “D:\my works\birthday.mkv”
Starts PowerDVD and play D:\my works\birthday.mkv video
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe “E:\cyberlink.mp3”
Starts PowerDVD and play E:\cyberlink.mp3 audio clip

DVD, Bluray Disc (optical) Playback:
For DVD and Bluray optical disc playback, provide the drive letter as the last argument of PowerDVD following the first argument “AUTOPLAY” and disc type as second argument:
PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe AUTOPLAY <DriveLetter>
Examples:
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe F:\
Starts PowerDVD and play DVD disc in F:\ drive
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe G:\
Starts PowerDVD and play Bluray disc in G:\ drive

DVD, Bluray Disc (HardDisk) Playback:
For DVD and Bluray disc folder playback, provide the full path as the single argument of PowerDVD:
PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe <path to root folder, index.bdmv or VIDEO_TS.IFO>
Examples:
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe F:\SomeBlurayTitle\BDMV\index.bdmv
Starts PowerDVD and play Blu-ray folder rooted in F:\SomeBlurayTitle\
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe F:\SomeBlurayTitle\
Starts PowerDVD and play Blu-ray folder rooted in F:\SomeBlurayTitle\
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe F:\SomeDVDTitle\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
Starts PowerDVD and play DVD folder rooted in F:\SomeDVDTitle\
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe F:\SomeDVDTitle\
Starts PowerDVD and play DVD folder rooted in F:\ SomeDVDTitle\

Launch PowerDVD in Classic Mode or Cinema Mode:
To launch PowerDVD in a specified mode, provide “/LaunchProgram” as the first argument followed by the mode name, this option can be combined with the AUTOPLAY switch:
PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe [AUTOPLAY <DriveLetter>] /LaunchProgram <PowerDVD|PowerDVDCinema>

Examples:
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe /LaunchProgram PowerDVDCinema
Starts PowerDVD in Cinema mode
> PDVDLaunchPolicy.exe AUTOPLAY DVD F:\ /LaunchProgram PowerDVDCinema
Starts PowerDVD in Cinema mode and play DVD disc in F:\ drive

Hi,
if you are not convinced by the Artwork you receive by the autodetection you may want to try below mechanism for manually assign the Artwork:

Filename
my_video_or_movie_name.mkv

Artwork
my_video_or_movie_name-fanart.jpg

Hi,

In PowerDVD 13 we made many features controllable for end users.
Please see below list which services are connected to which function:

- CLHNServiceForPowerDVD13.exe will not be started by default. It will be enable when sue DTCP-IP

PowerDVD13Agent.exe will not be started when user login to computer if below functions are all disabled:
• Device via USB (Customize UI)
• PowerDVD Remote (Customize UI)
• DMR (DLNA Setting)

CLMSServerPDVD13.exe / CLMSMonitorServicePDVD13.exe will not be started each time computer boots if user disables all of below functions:
• PlayTo button (Customize UI)
• PowerDVD Remote (Customize UI)
• DMS (DLNA Setting)
