Symptom

CyberLink PowerDVD 12 pops up the following two error messages when trying to play a Blu-ray Disc.

“CyberLink PowerDVD cannot access the storage device. Select another device when playback stops.”

“CyberLink PowerDVD could not launch because some of the components appear to be corrupted. Try uninstalling and then re-installing CyberLink PowerDVD, or check your anti-virus software for malicious activities. If the program still doesn’t launch, please contact customer support for assistance – error code: 101.”

Cause

The latest Windows update causes CyberLink PowerDVD 12 to not load Blu-ray Discs correctly.


Solution

Please download the latest patch update for CyberLink PowerDVD 12 from our updates page. It will update the program to v2428.

Note: This update applies to CyberLink PowerDVD 12 only. The update is for for retail and online purchased versions. For PowerDVD bundled versions user, please do not update from our updates page.
