They review 10 of the newest.....

They had one new Lap top that blew away their benchmark test. One of the standard industry benchmark tests.

And it is only $1,400 bucks.... Other new lap tops not so much....

OK, so which one it the best one? I do not see any listed as $1,400 bucks. I saw some $1,100 bucks.

I went to the PC World web site and I could not find a actual list that numbers the laptops by the best ones to the worse ones.

I read a lots of pages and clicked on links that said the top laptops for 2012, it does not look like the page is complete.

PC World did a bad job of reporting. Too many words and not enough substance.

Sometimes "Top 10" has good (and mostly believable) results.

This one is got new 2012 laptops.

Basically if you ignore Mac, then there is one HP and one Asus that have better performance. A dell is slightly lower preformance. The HP is the envy17 at just under $1400. The Ausus in the same price range has slightly lower performance rating and is HEAVY ! They rate the ENVY best in all the categories.

Thank you SteveK.

The ENVY has very good specs, but it does list a 750 GB hard drive, which could be larger, like 1 TB maybe.
The rest of the specs, is in the ball park of what I would build a Desk top.
